Christina Scull

Christina Scull, geboren am 6. März 1942 in Bristol in England, ist Autorin und Herausgeberin mehrerer Werke über und von J. R. R. Tolkien.

Christina Scull ist die Tochter von Robert Stanley Scull und Eileen Hannah Abbott. Von 1961 bis 1971 arbeitete sie in London im Handelsministerium. Gleichzeitig studierte sie an der Universität von London Kunstgeschichte und die Geschichte des Mittelalters und erreichte 1971 den Grad eines Bachelor of Arts. Anschließend arbeitete sie bis 1995 als Bibliothekarin im Sir John Soane’s Museum in London. 1994 heiratete sie Wayne G. Hammond, im Jahr darauf folgte sie ihrem Mann in die Vereinigten Staaten.

Christina Scull veröffentlichte verschiedene Arbeiten über Tolkien und gab mehrere Schriften Tolkiens heraus, darunter die Jubiläumsausgaben von Bauer Giles von Ham und Der Herr der Ringe. Außerdem ist sie Herausgeberin der Zeitschrift The Tolkien Collector. Für ihre Werke über Tolkien wurde sie mehrfach mit dem Scholarship Award der Mythopoeic Society ausgezeichnet.
